Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I kept hearing great things about this place from friends and finally decided to try it for myself—and it did not disappoint. Even during a busy Saturday lunchtime, the experience was fantastic. The coffee was absolutely amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming from start to finish despite how busy it was. Highly recommend, the girls are fantastic."
"Food is good. One person in our party ordered the breakfast bagel, but it came with egg in it (not listed as an ingredient on the menu), and that person doesn't eat egg. Staff were very nice, but very slow and not the best. Sat down with a child and only once we ordered for the adults did they mention 'do you want our kids menu?', why they didn't offer the kids menu when they handed us the menus is beyond us, as we had to assume they don't have a separate kids menu! They also didn't give us all cutlery. Just a few things that were missing hence four rather than five stars. I'd recommend the spicy chips!"
"Great wee spot. The coffee is consistently great — always perfectly made and full of flavour. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes it an easy place to keeping coming back to. I picked up a tray bake (a cookie) today and it was really tasty— fresh & delicious, and the perfect treat with my coffee. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!"
"I recently visited this coffee shop and was blown away! The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. But what really made the experience special was the service. Imogen was so friendly and attentive, she really made my visit memorable. I'll definitely be back!"
"Had lunch at Drip today and as always, it was a great experience. The staff are incredibly welcoming, which is why I come back most weeks for my coffee. Ciara served me today and she’s a legend, making the visit even better. Highly recommend!"
"Will definitely be back, the eggs Benedict was fantastic. I was served by Erin, who was the loveliest person ever. She got us seated straight away and made me the nicest latte I’ve ever tasted. Service was quick and I can’t shut up enough about this place. Keep up the great work guys!"
"Drip is a coffee shop on the Ormeau road serving food from breakfast to dinner. I love the interior aesthetic, a modern take on an American diner: super bright and fresh. I came here with my friends for some brunch, I hadn't researched in advance so was very pleased they had a vegan option! I had the Mushroom Toast with Saffron Emulsion. The flavour of the mushrooms was outstanding, super meaty and rich. The emulsion added a creamy texture which really completed it. My only complaint was the portion size, I think the value for money was questionable in this dish. I also had the fries with powdered vinegar which were super crunchy and tasty. Overall I thought the experience was great, our server was very friendly and helpful with my requests and double checked everything with the chef. I would appreciate more vegan options but I was impressed with the standard of the one they have. I would definitely recommend coming here for coffee or food and I will definitely be back soon"
"Really great place! Lovely people, lovely coffee and lovely breakfast foods on offer for people who like sweet and savoury. I had the yoghurt bowl and it was amazing."
